How can I join the Refer A Friend promotion?

This promotion is open to all existing Setel users.

To join, please share your unique Setel referral code with friends and family and get them to spend a total of RM30 on Setel.

Both you and your successful referral will then be rewarded with RM5 Setel Credit each.

When will I get my RM5 Setel Credit reward once I’ve acquired my successful referrals?

The RM5 Setel Credit will automatically be credited to you and your referee’s Setel wallet immediately.

How do I refer a friend?

Kindly refer to the steps below to refer a friend or family:

Select More located at the bottom right.
Tap on the Refer a friend icon below your name.
Tap on Invite contacts or any social media icons.
Select the person you wish to send it to.

My friend has completed his/her Setel account registration with my referral code. He then proceeds to top up RM20, then purchases RM5 worth of fuel and RM5 worth of items through Deliver2Me with his/her Setel App. Do we qualify for the RM5 Setel Credit reward?

Your friend is considered a successful referee when he/she completes RM30 worth of transactions via the Setel app. The RM5 Setel credit will then automatically be credited to you and your friend's Setel wallet immediately.

My friend has registered on his Setel account but has not made any transactions. Can I still refer him?

You can only refer new unregistered users to the app. If your friend has registered his Setel account, the referral process will not be successful.

How does the referral code work?

When your friend registers with Setel using your referral code and accumulates a total of RM30 in purchases, you will receive RM5 for the successful referral.

How many times can my referrals get the RM 5 reward?

They will get the reward one time only.

Don’t worry, they can get another RM 5 by referring their friends and families who have not registered yet.

How many times can I get the RM 5 reward?

You will receive RM 5 once for each referral that has successfully accumulated RM30 in purchases.

Is there any expiration date for the referral reward?

There is no expiry date and you can use it anytime.

How many friends can I refer?

There is no limitation and you can refer to as many people as you want.

My friend has completed his/her Setel account registration with my referral code. Is there a time limit for him/her to complete RM30 worth of transactions via the Setel app?

Currently, there is no specific time limit. We will announce if there are any changes.

I have referred 3 friends but only 2 have completed their Setel account registration with my referral code and performed transactions worth RM30, what is my reward amount?

You will get RM10 Setel credit and your 2 friends will be rewarded with RM5 Setel Credit each.

My friends did not use my referral code to register for their Setel account but they performed a minimum top-up of RM30. Will my friends and I get rewarded with the RM5 Setel Credit?

Unfortunately no.

Your friends must complete their Setel account registration with your unique referral code and use up to RM30 with the Setel app.
