1. Summary 🚀

Cardless Mesra Earnings is a project to allow PETRONAS users to earn Mesra points at the station with a mobile number through various interfaces such as the Outside Payment Terminal (OPT).

1.97.0 01 Jun 2022 will be releasing this feature to selected PETRONAS stations.

2. Details ✨

2.1 Before

Customer can only insert physical Mesra card at the OPT to collect Mesra points.

Pay with debit/credit card at the OPT & swipe Mesra card to earn Mesra points at the OPT

Customer is required to enter a PIN number when a debit/credit card is inserted.

Insert Mesra card to collect points or lift the nozzle to start refuelling.

2.2 After

2.2.1 Mesra points earning at the OPT

Enabling an additional method which is to enter mobile number at the OPT to start earning Mesra points

2.2.2 Will I still be able to earn Mesra points if refuelling is in progress?

Yes. You can tap on the screen or keypad to re-select your points earning method during your re-fuelling process if you did not select one previously.

Note that this screen will not appear if you’ve already selected a points earning method previously

2.2.3 Mesra points earning at the pigeonhole

Customer can now pay with cash at the pigeonhole and walk back to the OPT to select their points earning method either by inserting Mesra card or entering mobile number.

Customer will be able to see this screen at the OPT or they can start refuelling

2.2.4 What if I do not have a Setel account?

Dont worry, we will create an unverified account and the user can start earning points immediately.

2.2.5 What if I also have a Setel account?

Just enter your mobile number associated with your Setel account and you can points will be granted to your virtual card.

2.2.6 Where can I check my points history?

If you already have a Setel App installed, you can view the points granted via Cardless Mesra in your Mesra History.

But if you do not have a Setel App, you can either log in with the Setel Web (http://setel.com) or login via the Setel App to view your Mesra points history.

2.2.7 Does earning Mesra points made via the OPT contribute towards Membership Tier leveling?

No, Mesra points earned through mobile number input at the OPT will not contribute towards Membership Tier leveling.

2.2.8 Do I get bonus points if I earn points using mobile number at the OPT?

No, only base point of 1L = 1 Mesra point will be granted.

2.2.9 Will I get any notification after fuelling is completed?

Yes if the method of points earning is via mobile number.

2.2.10 Am I eligible for any campaigns or badges in Setel if I earn points using mobile number on OPT?

No, only transaction made via the Setel App is eligible for marketing campaigns.
