How does this feature work?

When you turn the physical Mesra card redemption feature off, redemption with the physical card would not be available. When you need to redeem with your physical card, just turn it on again & you'll be able to swipe your physical card for redemption instantly.

You would still earn Mesra points when the feature is turned off.

What is this feature for?

We are introducing this feature to help you protect your Mesra account better. With this feature, you can turn redemption of Mesra points with your physical Mesra card on or off, right from the app.

When this feature is turned off, it would prevent unknown parties from performing unauthorized redemption with your Mesra points.

Where do I find this feature?

This feature is made available for customers that have linked their physical Mesra card to their Setel account.

To view this feature, go to More, tap Mesra card and you'll be able to view the feature.

Why can't I view this feature?

This feature is made available for customers that have linked their physical Mesra card to their Setel account. Customers must also have the latest version of the app (version 1.100) updated through Google Playstore.

How do I link my physical Mesra card to Setel?

Launch the app and tap More.
Tap on Mesra card.
Tap on LINK NOW.
Enter your card number and IC number.
Tap LINK & TRANSFER.

I have a virtual Mesra card on my Setel account. Can I use this feature?

Unfortunately, no.

This feature is designed to prevent unauthorised redemption with the physical Mesra card by locking the card through the Setel app (usually when the card is stolen/lost).

As a virtual Mesra card customer, the redemption of your Mesra points can only be performed when you're logged into your account on the app or at www.setel.com/mesrarewards.

What happens when I turn off the Physical Mesra Card Redemption?

When you turn off the redemption feature, you would not be able to redeem your Mesra points but Mesra points can still be earned.

When you need to use your physical Mesra card, you can turn the feature on and swipe your physical card for redemption instantly.

What can I redeem with my Mesra points?

You can redeem the following with your Mesra points:

Deals redemption (Mesra rewards) through the Setel app or website.
Converting Mesra points to wallet balance through the Setel app or website.
Fuel or store items purchases with Mesra points that require a physical card swipe at the OPT (outside payment terminal) located at the fuel pump and IPT (inside payment terminal) located in Kedai Mesra.

I have a physical Mesra card & a Setel account. I've not linked them, can I still use this feature?

You can only view & use this feature once you've linked your physical Mesra card to your Setel account.

I've noticed that my Mesra points were redeemed, but it was not done by me. What can I do?

Is the Setel app/Mesra card safe for usage? I've heard stories from my friends/family who have lost their Mesra points

Yes, after resolving the unauthorized redemption issue, we decided to further enhance the security of the redemption process.

Hence, we're introducing this feature to further protect our customers' Mesra accounts. We recommend that you keep the redemption with your physical Mesra card feature turned off. You can turn it back on when you want to redeem your Mesra points, right from the app.

I have Mesra points on my physical Mesra card. If I link my physical card to Setel, would I still keep the points that I've earned?

Of course! All the points within your physical card would be transferred over to your Setel account.
