2.1.2 Minimum wallet balance
Starting from sprint 1.106, admin user can set minimum wallet balance on each connector. The minimum wallet balance is to ensure that the customer has enough wallet balance before they can activate the charger, the same concept as you need to have a minimum amount in TnG card before you can enter parking.
By default, the minimum wallet balance is set to RM0 because there are a few chargers providing free charging, so user should be able to activate the charger even if their wallet is empty.
Admin user can set the minimum wallet balance at charger details page.
The minimum wallet balance is determined with 2 conditions:
Charging duration, which varies depending on connector charging speed and location
Price
The formula we use is charging duration x price, and the final value will be round up to the nearest 10 for value less than RM100 and nearest 50 for the value more than RM100.
Based on Mixpanel analysis, the minimum wallet balance for each chargers can be found in the station list sheet:

2.2 Charging session management
Admin user can help customer to terminate charging session and manual charge user by choosing the action needed to perform at the top right corner in charging session detail page.
2.2.1 Cancel charging
After customer activated the charger, admin user can still help customer to cancel the order if the EV charging have not started, i.e. the charging status is Created or Charging initiated. The steps are as below:
2.2.2 Stop charging
If the EV has started charging i.e. charging status is Charging started, admin user can only help user to stop the session. The steps are as below:
In positive scenario, the charger status is expected to update to Confirmed which indicates the customer has successfully make the payment. However, it is possible that the transaction could not complete due to different reasons such as customer wallet has not enough balance or Setel did not receive the final amount from charger provider. Thus, admin user will need to perform manual charge to complete these transactions.
2.2.3 Manual charge
If customer has finish charging his/her EV but the payment process failed i.e. charging status is Requires actions, admin user can trigger the manual charge process to collect payment from the user. There are 2 main possible reasons that the payment process failed:
User wallet balance is insufficient
The vendor failed to provide billing info
Note: Charging completed status will be updated to Requires actions if the payment failed to process within 1 hour.
User wallet balance is insufficient
Please make sure that customer has enough wallet balance before perform manual charge, or else the charging status will remain Requires actions.
The vendor failed to provide billing info
If vendor failed to provide billing info, the amount will be shown as RM0.00 and there will be an error message to inform admin user that the vendor invoice is invalid when trying to perform manual charge.
For cases like this, it is recommended to check with the vendor first on verifying the root cause of the problem and check if they can updated the billing info. The manual charge can be perform once the billing info is updated on vendor side.
However, if the vendor is unable to provide billing info and the session is deemed as cancelled, then please perform Void Transaction for the transaction to reach an end state.
2.2.4 Refund
For the Confirmed transactions, admin can perform refund as well.
Partial refund can be performed multiple times until the total refunded amount is equal to the user paid amount.

4. FAQs
Question |
Answer |
|
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Can we set the EV station status to maintenance? |
Yes, we can set maintenance status at charging station, charging point, and connector level. However, it is recommended to inform the vendor to update the charging point and connector to maintenance on their side as our system will sync with their status and we won’t have to manually change back to active once the maintenance is done. The station status can also be automatically update to maintenance as well if all the charging points are under maintenance. |
| 2 | How do we test the charger after setting up new station? |
It is best to keep in touch with vendor on testing the charger as we don’t have proper testing equipment i.e. an EV. For Gentari, they will normally request us to setup the new station then only they will send their team to test the charger |
| 3 | Why can’t we have a prepaid option or set a time limit on the charger? |
JomCharge system is not supporting this feature yet. |
| 4 | Who is the vendor PIC for support? |
