Introducing Etiqa insurance as the next insurance provider after AXA insurance. Users can start renewing with Etiqa starting from sprint 1.108.0 release

2. Details

2.1. Before

Motor insurance renewal with Setel currently offers only 1 plan which is AXA Smart Drive Enhanced. A recent survey conducted by the UX research team suggests that a large percentage of Setel’s customer base is also interested to renew with Takaful-based motor insurance products.

2.2. After

Starting from the Setel app version 1.108.0, users will be able to renew with the following private comprehensive plans:

• Etiqa Motor Insurance NEW

• Etiqa Motor Takaful NEW

• AXA Smart Drive Enhanced EXISTING

In general, Etiqa Motor Insurance and Etiqa Motor Takaful have some similarities and differences in their product feature.

Homepage

The Motor insurance landing page will be revamped to accommodate the inclusion of Etiqa insurance.

Screens	Description
	The logo in the homepage is updated to include Etiqa General Insurance and Etiqa General Takaful logo.
	For foreigner opting to renew using their passport details in the get a quote section, a new Date of birth and Nationality field will be required for them to fill in.
	The FAQ has been updated to include questions and answers for both AXA and Etiqa. Refer to the FAQ write up here

Select a plan page

A new Select Plan page will be introduced to display the list of plans offered by different insurance providers. The list of plans is sorted based on the response time from each provider’s API, the plan with a faster response time will be sorted at the top followed by the remaining plan.

Additional coverage page & Personal details page

Users who renew their motor insurance with Etiqa will enjoy the complimentary All-drivers coverage. In an event of an accident the vehicle will be insured when it is driven by other than the main driver.

Quotation summary

For Etiqa, the quotation summary has been updated to include the Personal Accident (PA) related premium under field Personal Accident Fee, Service tax and Stamp duty based on the following conditions:

• When Personal add-on is selected:

  • Show Personal Accident add-on under Add-ons breakdown

  • Show Personal Accident Fee

  • Services tax → Consist of services tax for Base plan + Add-ons and PA add-on

  • Stamp duty → Consist of stamp duty for Base plan + Add-ons and PA add-on (RM10 + RM10 = RM20)

• When Personal add-on is not selected

  • Personal Accident add-on under Add-ons breakdown → Will not be shown

  • Show Personal Accident Fee → Will not be shown

  • Services tax → Consist of services tax for Base plan + Add-ons

  • Stamp duty → Consist of stamp duty for Base plan (RM10)

Road tax renewal upsell

In conjunction with the release of the Road tax renewal feature on Setel, the “Renew Road Tax” banner will be available on the Insurance payment success page upon making a successful checkout process. The CTA button “Renew Road Tax” will redirect the user to the Road tax landing page to proceed with their road tax renewal process.
