1. Summary

Setel On-Street Parking will be available for Majlis Bandaraya Subang Jaya (MBSJ), Majlis Perbandaran Kuala Langat (MPKL) and Majlis Perbandaran Teluk Intan (MPTI) powered by Leading Innovative Technologies & Systems Sdn. Bhd. and Vista Summerose Sdn. Bhd. as the Parking Operator. Motorists can pay for hourly rates by using payment methods, Setel wallet and CardTerus 2.0.

2. Details

Starting from Setel app version 1.101.0, motorists will be able to use a new feature under Parking - Setel Street Parking, motorists will be able to discover parking locations under MBSJ, MPKL, MPTI, and make payments via Setel app. Users need to be at the locations under the available council's area to use this Street Parking feature.

2.1. Setel On-street parking feature - Search location, confirm parking location, add parking details and payment method

Motorists can choose either Automated parking or Street parking

After motorists have clicked on Street parking from the previous screen, they will be able to view How it works or tap Park now to proceed with street parking booking

If motorists clicked on Park now from the previous screen, they will need to confirm parking location based on the current location retrieved from Location-Based-Service (LBS).

Motorist can change the parking location by clicking on parking location name.

This Search parking location page, motorist can view and select near me parking location sort by nearest to far.

Motorist need to select on parking duration. They can choose the selection of hour duration.

Click Pay with parking fee to proceed.

If they have insufficient balance, they will receive low balance notification to remind them to do top-up.

Motorists can select their preferred payment method to make payment for street parking. Street parking currently supports payment using Setel Wallet and Card Terus 2.0 (linked credit/debit cards).

Once payment is success, motorist will see this screen. In this screen, motorists can view live timer on parking time left, parking location, council, extend duration, duration, amount charged and their vehicle plate number.

Motorist can tap on Extend duration to add parking session and

Motorist can tap on view receipt to view or download receipt.

2.2. Setel On-street parking feature - Extend duration

Users are able to extend their parking duration subjected to parking operation hours. If the parking operation hours ends, users are not allowed to extend the parking and make payment. Street parking users also will receive a push notification 15 minutes before their booking expires as a reminder to extend the parking duration as per needed (Users need to enable the notifications from Setel App). On a side note, once the parking session has expired, users will no longer be allowed to extend the parking duration and will need to book a new parking session.

Motorist will receive a notification 15 minutes before session ends. By tapping on the notification, motorist will be brought to the live timer screen and able to tap on Extend Duration to add more time.

When motorist taps on Extend Duration, motorists can view extend duration banner, choose how long motorist wants to extend the parking by tap on + - button, and proceed to make payment.

When motorists want to extend during the last operation hours (Eg. 5.40 PM), the minus and increase buttons will be disabled.

Once payment is authorized, motorist will view live timer screen details with extended time.

2.3. Setel On-street parking feature - Session ends and parking receipt

Users are able to view receipts for Street Parking and receipt will only be generated once the parking payment is successful. Extensions on parking duration will generate a separate receipt for each extension.

No cancellation or refunds are allowed once the payment is authorised and receipt has been generated. Setel does not handle any refunds for Street parking payments

Motorist will receive a notification when the parking session ended. Active parking sessions will end automatically when the countdown timer expires and parking duration ends. By tapping on the notification, motorist will be brought to the street parking receipt.

Motorists can view all the parking details in the payment summary including Mesra points earned.

Motorists can click on Download PDF to download the e-Receipt or

Motorists can click on Resend Email Receipt to send the e-Receipt to their registered email.

Motorists also can find the parking receipt from More -> Select Payment History
or
Motorists can tap on view receipt from live timer screen.

In the Payment History screen, motorists will view the latest transactions made with setel app including parking, and clicking on transaction will display the parking receipt.

Once payment is successful, a parking e-Receipt will also be generated to motorists' registered email with Setel app. Motorists are able to download the receipt in PDF.

In the PDF statement, motorists will view the total amount paid including payment method, duration, location name, council name and date/time transaction made.

2.4. Setel On-street parking feature - Homepage and active parking session

Motorist will view the active session card together with the countdown timer on the Setel app homepage if there is an active session, by tapping on the view details button, motorist will open the live timer screen.

If motorist has an ongoing active session or multiple active sessions and views the street parking homepage, motorist will be able to see the current active sessions card.

Motorist can tap on the active session card and view the live timer screen with the parking details.

2.5. Setel On-street parking feature - Outside coverage area, after operation hour and under maintenance

If motorists are outside of council area, motorists will see a warning banner to inform them that they are not in the coverage area. However, motorists can still check the coverage area by click on check parking location to view the location listings under the available council area.

If motorists intend to make a parking payment after the operation hour or non-working days, a Free Parking banner will prompt, and motorists will not be able to proceed with street parking booking.

Parking is FREE during non-working days, public holidays and non-operational hours as per local authorities.

Motorists will view under maintenance warning if the council system is under maintenance. Motorists will be block to use the street parking feature.

3. Release plan

The dates will be updated accordingly if there are any changes in the timeline.

3.1. Release plan for 1.101.0

The app version 1.101.0 percentage release is targeted for the week of 18 July 2022.
Internal production testing will be done the following day
