1. Summary

PETRONAS Shop streamlined to Setel log in only is aimed to consolidate and streamline customer journey into single flow, leveraging the Setel ecosystem and further expanding product values to customers to enjoy more holistic Setel and PDB offerings.

2. Details

2.1 Before

On the eCommerce website, users can be able to register to be PRYSM members: Public, staff, and dealer. Users can also be able to log in using PRYSM/PETRONAS Shop account or continue with the Setel account.

2.2 After

2.2.1 Registration as new users

Remove Registration process
Allow users to log in with old PETRONAS Shop account and Continue with Setel
Show pop-up to remind PETRONAS Shop account to Continue with Setel

2.2.2 Login as PETRONAS Shop users

New login process is super simple and streamlined now via Connect with Setel feature. Just like how users register, they will click on the Continue with Setel, simply enter their phone number and OTP and they’ll be successfully logged in.

It’s even better if users are using the Setel app!

Inside the Setel app, all Setel users will be automatically logged in to PETRONAS Shop Mini without even clicking login. This is made possible via a seamless Setel user session from app to mini.

Note: Login via email/password is no longer available

2.2.3 Transitioning period for existing PETRONAS Shop users

After 30 days, Force to Setel log-in - will be on production after 30 days
Don’t allow users to log in with their PETRONAS account anymore
Don’t show the reminder counter anymore
Show information notes in the header
Users who have not connected to a Setel account, can:
- Continue with Setel, then
- Go to My profile to recover the old PETRONAS Shop
  - The old PETRONAS Shop account will be connected with the Setel account
  - Delete the old account
  - Merge all transaction history to the Setel account
