1. Summary

Shipping Fee introduction is aimed to charge customers a small shipping fee of RM3 for the order value below RM80, and free shipping for the order value above RM80.

2. Details

2.1 Before

Since the beginning of the PRYSM business 4 years ago, customers have been enjoying free shipping for every PETRONAS Shop purchase.

2.2 After

With the hypothesis of customers are willing to pay a small amount of shipping fee of RM3, it will increase store sales and average basket size. The start with the least business risk, the shipping fee is set at RM3 and the free shipping order value threshold is set at RM80. Customers can enjoy free shipping if they buy more than RM80, or pay a shipping fee of RM3 if buying below RM80. Free shipping verifies based on the subtotal (before any discount). Shipping only applicable to standard item type.

3.1 Hypothesis

By releasing this feature, the expected outcome is to see an increase between 3-5% in order value > RM80 hence directly decreasing in order value between RM50-RM79 and widening the Total Value gap in between.
