1. Summary
BNM’s has a requirement for unsupported Android devices to have a tighter limit and monitoring
This feature is made available to app version 1.89.0 onwards and was launched on 9 March 2022
2. Details
Users that are on unsupported Android OS versions will have their limit downgraded to RM 200, regardless of eKYC status.
Lower Limit:
-
If the device Android version is < the lowest supported Android version value,
the transaction limit amount will be maintained or reduced, from the original limit to RM200
-
If the device Android version is >= the lowest supported Android version value or not using Android or using other platforms,
the transaction limit amount will be maintained or increased, from the RM200 to the original limit which could be non-eKYC/ eKYC-ed value
Forced logout
If a customer has been detected to have changed their OS type and version when the mobile app is open, the customer will need to be forced logout from the mobile app. This is necessary to detect if the customer
downgraded to an unsupported android version
