1. Summary
Executing towards enabling the sales of PETRONAS Shop products cross-border beyond Malaysia, with payment and cross-border delivery.
2. Details
With the goal of unlocking more sales volume, PETRONAS Shop is venturing beyond Malaysia, starting from one country and expanding as our store is ready to scale. The store will be a standalone platform, utilising one of the world’s best e-commerce platforms, and driven by a small product team without any engineering resources. This setup enables us to scale quickly with the least blockers and reduced risk to the existing Malaysia store.

2.1 Before
Shoppers from Singapore can’t purchase online from the Malaysia store (http://setel.com/petronas-shop) and deliver to Singapore addresses.
2.2 After
Now, shoppers from Singapore can browse items, catalogues, and promotions dedicated to Singapore audiences and deliver them to their Singapore addresses.
2.2.1 Unified global branding
The PETRONAS Shop logo will remain the same. At the same time, the website’s title will be PETRONAS Shop Global, to uniquely identified for the shoppers when they are Googling or sharing with family/friends.
2.2.2 Unified visual experience across borders
The visual experience is designed to mirror Malaysia’s look and feel so it is unified from the branding’s perspective. The iconic PETRONAS green and clean minimal layout are applied across both stores.
2.2.3 Platforms infrastructures and integrated services
With Shopify as the platform engine for the Global store, almost everything is provided and plugin-available. This also comes with a different set of processes compared to the Malaysia store’s processes.
