1. Overview
1.1 - Setel Lite activation and linking physical card allows User’s of Lite to either create and activate their virtual Mesra Card or link an existing physical Mesra Card.
1.2 - The latter functions to on-board User’s who may be active PETRONAS fuel purchasers who may be unfamiliar with the Setel Lite.
1.3 - The specified audience for this feature is the B40 Users, this feature aims to enable Users who may have lower end devices, limited phone storage, limited data access or less digital exposure. They may be new or existing PETRONAS patrons who currently only use the physical card for point collection.

4. Why should I use it?

4.1 - Activating virtual Mesra card
Who?
By default, virtual Mesra card will be automatically issued to each Setel account upon account registration. Virtual Mesra card will not be issued if a Setel account does not existed.
How?
To activate the issued virtual Mesra card, User need to input their ID type (IC, old IC or Passport no.) and info.
Successful scenario
The virtual Mesra card status would change from
issuedtoactivewith virtual Mesra card no.
Failed scenarios

The ID info is found registered with a physical Mesra card.
Prompt User to link with their existing physical Mesra card. If failed, directs to live chat for assistance.

Why?
Without activation, User can only earns points when transacts via Setel Lite while cannot redeem points for fuelling or purchase c-store items.
4.2 - Linking an existing physical Mesra card
Who?
Users who has a Setel account and owns an existing physical Mesra card.
How?
User to input their existing physical Mesra card no. along with ID type and info for verification to link and transfer their points to the virtual Mesra card.
Successful scenario
The virtual Mesra card status would change from
issuedtoactivewith the virtual Mesra card no.Accumulated points from physical Mesra card would automatically transfer to the virtual Mesra card.
Failed scenarios

Prompt User to input the correct info. If failed, directs to live chat for assistance.

Why?
This is beneficial to the physical Mesra cardholder to keep the earned points and continue their membership in Setel Lite, while sunsetting the physical Mesra card. Also provides an avenue (via Setel Lite) for User to view their card status and keep track of the points history.
5. FAQ
Is there a chance where a User owns multiple virtual Mesra cards?
No, there’s a validation check to only allow 1 virtual Mesra card to 1 ID.
Is there a chance where a User owns multiple virtual Mesra cards in Setel Lite and Setel app?
No, depending on which app an User registered an account from, there’s a validation check to only allow 1 ID link to 1 virtual Mesra card.
If User owns multiple physical Mesra cards, how can they transfer the accumulated points from all physical cards to the virtual Mesra card? How long and where will it takes to reflect in app?
Only the points from physical Mesra card that linked with virtual Mesra card will be transferred over and it will immediately reflected on Mesra card page.
What if User wanted to deactivate their virtual Mesra card?
No, User is not allow to deactivate their virtual Mesra card.
What if User wanted to unlink their physical Mesra card?
User can send a request via live chat for assistance.
