What is Setel Lite?

Developed to cater to those with budget smartphones or those who live in areas with low or irregular internet availability, Setel Lite is a lightweight version of the regular Setel app many of our users already know and love.

Setel Lite is available for download from the Google Play Store.

What features are in Setel Lite?

Setel Lite offers a complete refuelling experience, just like in the regular Setel app.

Setel Lite users are able to:

Register for a new Setel account
Use a referral code
Top up Setel Wallet via online banking and vouchers
Experience the complete Setel fuelling experience
View payment history
Contact our friendly support representatives
View account details and change password
View Mesra card details
Use Setel Share as a payment method

How do I refuel using Setel Lite?

We’ve made it so that refuelling is as easy as in the regular Setel app:

Upon reaching a PETRONAS station and launching Setel Lite, the station is automatically detected.

If Setel Lite is launched away from PETRONAS stations, the app will instead show the nearest PETRONAS station. You may then navigate to the nearest station via Waze or Google Maps.

When you’re at a PETRONAS station, refuelling is as easy as:

Choosing a pump number
Choosing a fuelling amount (in RM only, choosing litre amount is currently not available)
Confirming a payment method

Once initiated, you will see the fuelling progress on your screen. When refuelling is complete, Setel Lite will display a fuelling receipt for your purchase.

What is the minimum Android OS version to run Setel Lite?

Setel Lite supports Android OS versions 4.4 and above.

What is the app file size?

Setel Lite will require minimal storage as the file size has a maximum limit of 15 MB.

Can the app work with slow network speeds?

Yes, the app is designed to minimise data usage and work well on 3G networks.

What if I encounter an issue while refuelling?

No worries!

When you encounter an error, just tap Help? at the top-right corner to start a chat in the app. Our friendly representatives will do their best to assist you

Can I earn Mesra points for fuel purchases made with Setel Lite?

Of course! We would never dream of depriving Setel Lite users from earning Mesra points.

However, converting Mesra points into wallet balance or using them to purchase vouchers is currently not supported.

Can I upgrade my wallet via Setel Lite?

Sadly, this feature is currently only available in the regular Setel app.

I enjoy using CardTerus on the regular Setel app. Would I have to set up CardTerus again in Setel Lite?

Currently Setel Lite only supports Setel Wallet and Setel Share as payment methods.

Can I have both the regular Setel app and Setel Lite on my device and use them alternately?

Sure thing! However, logging into one app will log you out of the other and you cannot be logged into both apps at the same time.

Fuelling transactions made in either app may also be viewed on the other. However non-fuelling transactions in the regular Setel app will not appear in Setel Lite.

Is this available for iOS?

Setel Lite is only available for Android.
