What can I do if my eMADANI claim is rejected?

System error

If your claim was denied/rejected due to a system error, we recommend retrying after 5 minutes.

Non-appealable scenarios

If your claim was denied because of the following reasons, you will not be able to file an appeal.

• You have claimed the eMADANI credit on another e-wallet.
• You were an eBeliaRahmah recipient.
• The claim period has passed.
• The fund has exceeded the claimable amount.
• The fund is no longer claimable with Setel.

Appealable scenarios

If your claim was denied because of the following reasons but you have proof that the information is incorrect, you can submit an appeal with the supporting documents through the Setel app.

• Your citizenship is unrecognised.
• Your name and IC number do not match.
• Your IC number is invalid.
• Your record does not exist in the National Registration Department.
• You are not 21 years old as of 1 January 2023. Do note that only the year is taken into account, so someone born on 1 January is the same age as someone born on 31 December.
